We had 1.25 inches of rain last night, so we will not be letting carts out until about 11 a.m. this morning. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Apparently if your name is Stacie, the golf gods will smile at you when you play at Hidden Meadows.
Stacie Creech set the new standard for the lowest women’s score at Hidden Meadows Golf Course, recording a 1-over-par 71 during the Women’s Maine State Golf Association tournament that was played here on Tuesday, June 9th.
Creech, from Orono, was 1-under-par at the turn, making a birdie on the par 3 4th hole to go along with eight pars. She had a little trouble with the putter on her second nine, 3-putting three times enroute to 37.
Creech’s 71 broke the record set last year by Hidden Meadows Club Champion Stacey Hussey.
Hidden Meadows hosted it’s first-ever 2-Person Senior Scramble on Wednesday, June 10th. Winners of the 50-59 division were Ralph Backman and Galen Alley with a 1-under-par 69. Jay Emerson and Dave Leland won the 60-69 division with 73, followed by David Thibodeau and Cindy Labbe with 77. George Thibodeau and David Saucier won the 70-older division with 72.
Flag Event winners:
#4: Alan Cust, 4’11”
#8: David Leland, 3’9″
#13: Randy Bernard, 11’6″
#17: Randy Bernard, 30’0″
Thanks to everyone that played. This will become an annual event, so make sure to put it on your calendar for next year.
The weather looks like it should be clearing up about 3:30 or so. With that in mind, the Monday Night Scramble, hosted by Linda, is on for tonight. See you here!

Don’t forget, we have our first mixie of the year on Sunday, June 7th. Starting time is 1 p.m. with a potluck after the golf.
The format is Pinehurst Scramble. Player A and Player B both hit a tee shot. Player A hits Player B’s drive and Player B hits Player A’s drive. Then pick which ball you want to use and play a scramble until the ball is holed. The Pro Shop will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and will provide iced tea. Players are providing either a side dish, salad or dessert.
Please call the Pro Shop at 827.4779 to sign up. We need to have at least six teams signed up by the end of the day on Saturday to hold the event.
