  1. Mizuno Trunk Sale at Hidden Meadows GC on Tuesday, July 24th

    Here’s what everyone has been waiting for! This is the best time of the year for new and used Mizuno equipment.

    We are having a Mizuno Trunk Sale on Tuesday, July 24th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Brian Uvena, the Mizuno territory manager for our area, will have all of his 2018 demo equipment here and for sale. Equipment included will be:

    4. MP-18 MMC Fli-Hi utility irons
    5. T7 and S18 wedges

    All prices will be 40% off the regular price. Some pieces will be brand new. Some sets of irons will only have two or three clubs out of the set that are used.

  3. Mizuno Golf Bag Sale

    We are running a summer sale on all Mizuno golf bags. Several styles and colors to choose from. Prices up to 50% off.

  4. Old Town Rec Center Tournament Is This Saturday

    The Old Town Recreation Center is having their annual golf tournament on Saturday, July 21st at Hidden Meadows Golf Course. There is currently room for three more teams.

    The entry fee is $240 for the team ($60 per person) and includes the tournament entry fee, golf cart, range balls, lunch, flag events and more.

    Their are a bunch of great prizes, including a Ford EcoSport to the first person that makes a hole-in-one on #8 during the tournament. There is also a 2019 family golf membership at Hidden Meadows Golf Course to the first person that makes a hole-in-one on #4.

    All proceeds from the tournament go to the Old Town Recreation Center youth programs. To register your team please call the Rec Center at 207-827-3961 or the Hidden Meadows clubhouse at 207-827-4779.

  5. Karma – It’s Real Enough if You Think It Is

    Karma.

    I’m not sure if it’s real or if it’s like your daily horoscope. If you’ve done something sketchy and then have something sketchy happen to you, is it really Karma coming back around, or is it like a horoscope where you make the situation fit the circumstances?

    And the other two big questions: Does Karma have an expiration date? Does Karma ever forget?

  6. Animal Orphanage Tournament Full; One Team Looking For 2 Players

    The Old Town Animal Orphanage tournament for this weekend is full. We have started a waiting list, so if you would like to play, please call the pro shop and we will put you on the list.

    We do have one team that is short two players. If you do not have a team and would like to play, please call the pro shop and we will pair you up. 207-827-4779.

  7. Two Openings Remain in the Old Town Animal Orphanage Tournament Saturday

    We are down to two open spots for teams in the 2nd Annual Old Town Animal Orphanage Golf Tournament.

    The tournament is on Saturday, July 7th starting at 8 a.m. The cost is $260 per team ($65 per person) and includes green fees, carts, coffee & donuts, lunch, tournament prizes and lots on-course events.

    First place is $400 at Hidden Meadows Golf Course, with at least the top five teams winning prizes, all based on a full field of 18 teams.

    There will also be a putting contest for a custom-made Scotty Cameron putter, a chipping contest for a custom-made Mizuno wedge, a hole-in-one prize for a 2019 Hidden Meadows Family membership, raffle prizes on the par 3’s and more.

  8. Kauppila Breaks Course Record

    Chris Kauppila fired a 3-under-par 68 on Monday, July 2nd during the Maine Junior Tour stop at Hidden Meadows Golf Course. His round broke the course record by one stroke, which was previously set by Connor Morey in May, 2016.

    Kauppila started the day eagle-birdie, then after making bogies on #4 and #7, finished the front nine with a birdie 3 on the 9th hole, going out in 3-under-par 33.

    Kauppila got it to 4-under-par after making birdie on #12, went birdie-bogey-birdie on #15 through #17, then finished with a par 4 on the last hole to set the record. His round included one eagle, five birdies, eight pars and four bogies.

    Kauppila set the record playing the course as an 18-hole set-up, green tees for his front 9 (3177 yards) and the white tees for his back 9 (2891 yards). There has not been a course record posted for the senior tees (white-gold) or for the women’s tees (gold-red). Joe Perdue holds the course record for the men’s original layout with 66 (June, 2010). Stacey Creech holes the course record for the women’s original layout with 71 (June, 2015).

    Congratulations Chris. Great round of golf. All of your hard work is beginning to pay off. Way to go!

  9. Old Town Animal Orphanage Tournament is Saturday, July 7th Not Sunday, July 8th

    In spite of what you may have seen the past two weeks in the Bangor Daily News, the Old Town Animal Orphanage golf tournament is on Saturday, July 7th, starting at 8 a.m. The advertisements in the paper have the tournament as being on Sunday, July 8th, and is incorrect.

    Just so everyone is clear: The Animal Orphanage Tournament is Saturday, July 7th, 8 a.m. shot gun start. On Sunday, July 8th, the golf course is open for normal play.

    Apologies for any confusion that this may have caused.
